About the Journal

The University of Sharjah (UoS) Journal of Law Sciences (JLS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by the University of Sharjah. The journal publishes original and high-quality articles in the field of Law. The main objective of the UoS JLS is to promote interdisciplinary studies in Law sciences and provide an intellectual platform for scholars.

The journal includes two distinctive sections. The general section covers a wide spectrum of legal studies, featuring research papers in both Arabic and English. Meanwhile, the special section is exclusively devoted to Francophone legal studies (Etudes Juridiques Francophones), exploring emerging legal topics influenced by French law, and publishing research papers in French exclusively.

UoS JLS aspires to emerge as a leading journal in Law sciences, not only within the Gulf region but on a global scale. Its commitment is reflected in the publication of UoS JLS four times a year, offering both print and online versions. Additionally, the UoS JLS is entirely committed to the open access initiative and provides easy access to all its articles immediately after publication.
